The APLM Council has hosted conferences on topics such as the “Radical Implications of Baptism” and how to move toward a full catechumenal program using “Becoming the Story We Tell.”
Our 2023 conference, “Worship and Mission in the Face of Climate Crisis” will be held July 18-20 in Collegeville, MN. We are seeking funding to bring two representatives from six congregations who want to engage intentionally around this issue to participate in the conference and journey with other congregations through an online platform for sharing resources and periodic Zoom meetings. See our main page for the most recent information about the conference and how to apply to be a participating congregation.
Beginning in November 2008, APLM offered an annual colloquium at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, CA with a featured speaker, a formal response and a question and answer period for the audience.
There is no registration required for this event. To be alerted about the next Colloquium at CDSP, join APLM (there is a listserv for members) or follow our Facebook page.
Links for viewing or listening to some of the previous presentations may be found here.
APLM is now hosting Webinars about four times a year. Topics have included:
- practical seasonal tips (for Advent, Epiphany, the Triduum, etc.),
- broader looks at liturgical history and practice (the impact of Vatican II and prayer book revision), and
- general worship related issues such as congregational singing. More information and video links.
