Liturgical Calendar

Our baptismal conversion has transformed our understanding of time. Therefore the liturgical calendar, centered on the Passover of the Lord, orders not only our worship, but also the whole of our life together. The way humans mark days, seasons, and years both reveals and shapes identity, meaning, and values. As a wise rabbi once observed, “It’s not so much that the Jews keep the Sabbath as it is the Sabbath keeps the Jews.” Our keeping of the rhythms of the Church Year has the potential to contour our lives more profoundly in the life of Christ.  The resources below are provided to support deeper engagement with the liturgical year.
