February Webinar on Lament for Creation

How can we give voice to our grief over the destruction of the earth liturgically? This webinar will offer some suggestions for practicing lament during Lent.

Sylvia C. Keesmaat is a biblical scholar, activist and farmer.  She is the co-author of Romans Disarmed: Resisting Empire, Demanding Justice, and Colossians Re-mixed: Subverting the Empire.  She is passionate about the Bible and economic justice, climate catastrophe, gender justice and Indigenous justice.  She obtained her doctorate at Oxford University, studying with N.T. Wright, and has taught recently as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at Trinity College, Toronto School of Theology.  

Sylvia lives at Russet House Farm, an off-grid permaculture farm in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario—the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Nishaabeg—with her husband, Brian Walsh, and a fluctuating number of people and animals.
